General
information
In 1953, Richard Schikowski publishers in Berlin published the first
edition of Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte - erste
deutsche Gesamtausgabe der Vorhersagen zeitnah übersetzt und gedeutet von Dr. N. Centurio. The
name "Dr. N. Centurio" is one of the author's pseudonyms of dr.
phil. Alexander Max Centgraf (1893-1970); the word Centurio is a
latinization of the word Centuries.[1]
Prof. dr. Wolfgang Goetz (Leipzig, 1885 - Berlin, 1955), honorary
president of the Berliner Schriftstellervereinigung, wrote an
introduction. On page 268 of the first edition of Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte is
mentioned that prior to publication, a certain Thomas Johanssen, lector,
went through the text of Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte
and made a number of remarks. On the same page, Centgraf expressed his
thanks to those who helped and encouraged him in the process of writing.
Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte is a clothbound book
with dust jacket. On the front flap, it reads
that a respected historian and philologist who already has stepped forward
with important publications, now presents the sensational results of his
study which took many years. The famous and so far most controversial
book in the world literature now shines a bright light upon the present
and the future up to 2000. On the back flap, it reads that with
the publication of the first German anthology of the Centuries,
one of the most wanted books of the world literature is available again
and comprehensible for modern man. This old prophetic book now brings
comfort and hope for the coming years and distinguishes itself from all
other books in this field because of its scheme. On the linen cover, the family crest of the
Notre Dame family is printed in gold: two double crosses and two eagle'
heads. The only illustration in Nostradamus - Der Prophet der
Weltgeschichte is a picture of an astrological chart, erected for
the Full Moon of August 7, 1846, to which Nostradamus was supposed to
refer in quatrain 04-33, which Centgraf linked to the discovery of
Neptune.
Schikowski also published the second, revised edition (1955), the third and the
fourth and last edition (1960, once more revised) of Nostradamus -
Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, which in 1966 was completely sold
and in 1968 succeeded by Nostradamus - Prophetische Weltgeschichte,
published by Turm publishers in Bietigheim. Centgraf characterized Nostradamus
- Prophetische Weltgeschichte as a continuated, concentrated version of Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte. Therefore,
the first edition of Nostradamus - Prophetische Weltgeschichte
was numbered as the fifth edition, revised and enlarged edition. I don't
know why in 1966 Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte was
not reprinted. To the fourth edition, a picture of a portrait of
Nostradamus was added, copied from Nostradamus (Eugène Bareste,
Parijs, 1840) and an analysis of the birth chart of Nostradamus (Saint-Rémy
de Provence, December 14, 1503, 12.00 TLT) by Willy Bischoff.
Richard Schikowski publishers/booksellers, founded in 1951 and
specialized in esoteric and occult literature, exists up to today and is
seated in Berlin, 30 Motzstraße.
Text
division of Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte
Centgraf's letter from May 22, 1950, to the German author Hermann Hesse,
at that time residing in Switzerland, shows that in 1950, Centgraf had a
printable manuscript on Nostradamus and the Centuries. Its
contents were divided into three parts: (1) an extensive
introduction to the work of Nostradamus, (2) the translation of
and comments upon his predictions and (3) a prophetic
concordance of world history for the period between 1550 to 2200. Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte can be divided into (1)
treatises on the life of Nostradamus, his expressions, the future up to
the 21st century and the warnings in the predictions, addressed to
rulers and prominent persons, (2) the translation of and
comments upon the Preface to Cesar, the Epistle to Henry II, the Centuries,
the Sixains, leftover quatrains and the Présages and
(3)
an addendum with a bibliography of Century-editions and Century-comments,
a discussion of systems with which a number of Century-scholars
had tried to arrange the Century-quatrains in order of fulfilment,
Centgraf's arrangement of quatrains which according to him were
fulfilled between 1900 and 1950 and an index of persons and geographical
names.
For his discussion of the predictions in the Centuries, Centgraf
used the 1940-Krafft-copy of the Centuries (Frankfurt am Main), a
photocopy of a 1568-B.Rigaud-edition of the Centuries. For his
discussion of the Présages, the Sixains and the leftover
quatrains, he used the 1605-Sève-edition of the Centuries.
Henry
the Fortunate
In Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, Centgraf
described in his comments upon the predictions of Nostradamus which
events would occur in Europe in the years until 2050. The key figure in
these events is Henry the Fortunate (Heinrich
der Glückliche), who will be born in Bretagne in July 1999. Henry the
Fortunate will be the first president of the United States of Europe and
will deliver Europe from all external powers. In 2035, after having seized
power in the Mediterranean Sea in a great navy battle near
Marseille, where a nuclear bomb will cause millions of casualties and
heavy damage, he successfully will attack England, which no longer will
dominate Europe and which will become one of the states of the United
States. Next, he will put an end to the anarchy in Italy and will bridle
Germans, Austrians and Swiss. He also solves the Arab-Jewish problem. In
2045, he will bring peace to the world for about 57 years. In that year,
in Germany, which for many years was subordinated to the Western Allies,
the "holy Empire" begins, which will take the place of England
as the dominant power and which will learn the world humanity and
compassion.
In the letter he wrote to Hesse on May 22, 1950, Centgraf presented a
similar future perspective.
In Nostradamus - Prophetische Weltgeschichte (Bietigheim, 1968)
Centgraf took January 21, 1981 as the birth date of Henry the Fortunate.
He based this new assumption upon the assumption of the Austrian
astrologer dr. Wilhelm Kestranek that the birth date of Henry the
Fortunate was mentioned in quatrain 05-41 and his hour of birth in
quatrain 10-71.
Henry the Fortunate is also the main character in the brochure Die
Wahrheit über Heinrich den Glücklichen - Nostradamus Prophezeiungen
entschlüsselt, written by the German astrologer Ingrid Beikirch (Gifhorn,
1986), who besides Centgraf's Die großen Weissagungen des
Nostradamus also consulted Loog's Die Weissagungen des
Nostradamus (Pfullingen in Württemberg, 1921) and Allgeier's Die
großen Prophezeiungen des Nostradamus in moderner Deutung (Munich,
1982). According to Beikirch, Henry the Fortunate is a woman, announced
in Revelations 12, who will renew christianity.

De Tombre-1941
|
Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn...
Between June and August 1941, in his capacity as a volunteer
of the Antikomintern, a section of the
Ministry of Propaganda which was occupied with the production of
anti-Russian propaganda, Centgraf either wrote or completed the text of
a national-socialist, propagandistic Nostradamusbrochure, aimed
against the British, the communists and the Jews. In January 1945, as a
token of esteem, he was decorated with the Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse ohne
Schwerter.
In the second quarter of 1940, the text of a Nostradamusbrochure,
written in the Ministry of Propaganda, aimed against England and meant
for spread in the neutral countries, was translated into eight
languages. From the brochure which Centgraf wrote or completed in 1941,
only one translation is known: Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn - Michael Nostradamus spreekt in 1558 over het verloop
en den uitslag van den huidigen oorlog (Hijman, Stenfert Kroese
& Van der Zande NV, Arnhem, NL, alternative title: Staat onze toekomst
vast? Voorspellingen van Nostradamus uit het jaar 1558 over het verloop
van den huidigen oorlog). This translation carries the name of A. de
Tombre, who according to a reader of the Dutch newspaper Het Vrije Volk
was a fascist astrologer. It is also possible that the name "A. de Tombre"
is a fictitious name, like the name Jean François Pasteur in the
national-socialist Nostradamusbrochure Hoe zal
deze oorlog eindigen?, discussed elsewhere on this website.[2]
The following facts show that Centgraf has been the author of the German
source text of Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn...:
-
In
1941, in
the copy of Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn... which Centgraf in 1941
gave to the Preussische Staatsbibliothek in Berlin, nowadays
preserved in the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (catalogue number
Na 7716/50), it was written twice that he was the author. On
this website, these notes are interpreted as notes which mean that
Centgraf was the author of the German source text of Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn...
-
On
page 7 of Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn..., it reads: Ik heb wel eens gehoord, dat zij, die, zooals ik, in Maart
geboren zijn [...] (tr.: I have heard that those who, like I,
are born in March [...]). This is Centgraf's reference to his birth
date, March 8, 1893.
-
On
page 47 of Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn... it reads
that the word Hadrie contains the initials of Adolf Hitler
as well as the word Adria, an allusion to the axis between
Germany and Italy, which has its south end in the Adriatic Sea. In
his article Nostradamus und Berlin - und andere Weissagungen
(in: Der Kurier, July 10, 1949), Centgraf wrote that he had
discovered that the word Hadrie in a.o. quatrain 03-02 is an
encrypted reference to: H = Hitler, Ad
= Adolf and Adrie = Adria, the south end of the Axis-politics
of the dictator. This remark is a silent reference to the German
source text of Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn.
In his comment upon the quatrains 03-06, -07, -08 and -09 on
page 70 of the first edition of Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, Centgraf wrote, in connection
with an event which took place in the winter of 1939/'40, that he
had discovered that the word Hadrie in quatrain 01-08 was an
encrypted allusion to Hitler. This remark too is a silent reference
to the German source text of Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn...
During
the writing of Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn..., i.e. its German source text, Centgraf copied
some comments and explanations from Die Prophezeiungen des Nostradamus (Informations-Schriften,
Berlin,
1940, # 18),
Die Weissagungen des Nostradamus:
erstmalige Auffindung des Chiffreschlüssels und Enthüllung der
Prophezeiungen über Europas Zukunft und Frankreichs Glück und
Niedergang, 1555-2200 (C. Loog, Pfullingen in Württemberg, 1921)
and Nostradamus und seine Prophezeiungen für das zwanzigste Jahrhundert (dr.
B. Winkler, Görlitz, 1939). Most of the comments, among which the
explanation that the word Hadrie was an encrypted allusion to
Hitler and the axis Germany-Italy, originate from Centgraf himself.
The key figure in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn... is Adolf Hitler, the
Führer of the Third Reich. According to Centgraf, it was under
his leadership that in 1939, the dominating role of England in the world
came to an end. England would have to make way for Germany. The Jews
will be expelled from Europe. By 1944, communism will come to an end. As
a result of Hitler's ingenious tactics, a period of peace will begin
which will last for 57 years, in which Europe will flourish by means of
strong German leadership. Germany is the "holy Empire" which
Nostradamus had predicted.
Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn... versus Nostradamus - Der Prophet der
Weltgeschichte
In Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, Centgraf
discussed the 942 Century-quatrains, using the 1940-Krafft-copy.
All 73 quatrains which he discussed in Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn..., are included in the 1940-Krafft-copy, which in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn...
served as a source of quotes and illustrations.
In various ways, the comments, given in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn..., emerge in Nostradamus - Der Prophet der
Weltgeschichte. Compared with the comments in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn..., 20 comments remained unchanged. In most cases, these are
comments in which quatrains were linked to events during World War I and
the preceding centuries, such as the invention of the air balloon. In Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, like in Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn..., quatrain 03-58 is linked to the birth and rise
of Hitler (in which Centgraf copies Winkler). In both publications, the
quatrains 03-07 and 03-50 are linked to the German march to Paris in
1940; quatrain09-48 is linked to the German air raids on London in 1940.
Compared with the quatrains in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn..., 14 quatrains in Nostradamus - Der Prophet
der Weltgeschichte are linked to other events. In may cases, the
nature of these events corresponds to some extent with the nature of the
events, mentioned in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn...
These changes seemed to have been induced by the course of history.
Quatrains 10-100, which contains an allusion to a more than 300 year
lasting period of British supremacy, is a good example. In
Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn..., this period ran from 1649 (which
year according to Centgraf, copying Loog's comment upon quatrain 03-57,
marked the beginning of the time span of 290 years, given in
quatrain 03-57) until 1939 (the year in which Germany invaded Poland and
in which the decline of England began, again a copy of Loog's comment
upon quatrain 03-57). In Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, Centgraf situated the decline of
England in the period 2040-2050 (in which Henry the Fortunate attacks
England); the 300 year period of British supremacy began in 1763. In Nostradamus - Der Prophet der
Weltgeschichte, the quatrains 02-68, 02-100 and 08-60 are not only
linked to World War I like in Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn..., but also to World War II. In Nostradamus -
Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, the first two lines of quatrain
05-94 are linked to the German march in 1940, like in Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn... Like in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn..., the last two lines are linked to Stalin, but not to the
Molotov - Von Ribbentrop pact which Stalin according to Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn... was about to break up, but to the march in
1945 of Russian troops to Berlin and Vienna. The link between quatrain
05-51 and the "new Entente" was also present in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn...; the remark in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn...
that England would lose Gibraltar, is of course no longer present in Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte. In Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte,
it is explained in the comment upon quatrain 01-08 that the word Hadrie
is an allusion to Hitler. Therefore, this quatrain, line in Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn..., is linked to the capitulation of Paris in
1940. However, in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn..., Hitler
was presented as the one who saved Paris, while in Nostradamus - Der
Prophet der Weltgeschichte the comment read that because of Hitler's
march to Paris, Paris was re-enforced so that it could overcome the
German occupation.
In Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, more than half
of the quatrains of Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn..., 39, to be precisely, were linked to events which
had a different nature and a different year of fulfilment. This goes a.o.
for all quatrains in Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn... which come next to quatrain 02-05. This
series of quatrains ends with quatrain 10-42, the last quatrain which in
Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn... is discussed. In the
comments in this part of Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn..., Russia c.q. bolshevism was warned: in 1944,
bolshevism would come to an end. In Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte,
this future perspective no longer returns. In Nostradamus - Der
Prophet der Weltgeschichte, quatrain 01-35, in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn... linked to the imminent defeat of England by Germany, is
linked to the death on July 10, 1559, of the French king Henry II.
Quatrain 02-55 is not linked to Hitler's last campaign, resulting in his
final victory, as explained in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn...,
but to his suicide and the suicide of his wife, Eva Braun. Quatrain 02-53, in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn... linked to Hitler's attacks on England, was linked in Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte to a plague in London in 1665 and
the great fire, one year later. Quatrain 03-13 is no longer linked to
the attacks of German submarines on England in
1940/'41 like in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn..., but to
attacks on England by submarines of Henry the Fortunate in 2040.
According to Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn..., quatrain
07-13 indicated that Germany was about to occupy England for 14 years.
According to Nostradamus - Der
Prophet der Weltgeschichte, this quatrain indicates the 14 years
during which Napoleon Bonaparte ruled. In Nostradamus - Der Prophet
der Weltgeschichte, the quatrains
10-31, 10-42 and 10-89 are not linked to the final German victory in the
fourties like in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn..., but to
the final victory of Henry the Fortunate in 2050 and the foundation in
Germany of the "holy Empire".
In the table below, the correspondences and differences between the
links in Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn... and Nostradamus - Der Prophet der
Weltgeschichte are listed briefly.

The
origin history of Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte
The future
perspectives in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn... and Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte
contain identical elements: powerful leaders (Hitler, Henry the
Fortunate) who settle Europe's affairs and who will put an end to
British supremacy. Under the inspiring leadership of these powerful
leaders, who have an ingenious military tactic, Europe will know a peace
period which will last 57 years. In this period, Germany will change
into a "holy Empire", which will replace England as the
world's leading nation.
Is is quite possible that Centgraf copied the figure of Henry the
Fortunate from
Loog's Die Weissagungen des Nostradamus, the first Century-comment
which Centgraf read in 1939 and which, according to his article Nostradamus
und das jüngste Weltgeschehen (Zürich, 1959), was reason for him to deepen
himself into Nostradamus and the Centuries. According to Loog,
Henry the Fortunate would be the greatest king of France, invincible. He
linked Henry the Fortunate to a.o. quatrain 10-72. According to Loog,
Henry the Fortunate would become a world leader. Centgraf thought that
in quatrain 10-72, the birth of Henry the Fortunate was announced and
also held him for the future world leader. The
addition the Fortunate to the name of Henry is a translation of
the Latin word secundus, which also can be translated into the
second. The address of the Epistle to Henry II reads
In connection with the future perspectives and the way in which the
comments in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn... emerge in Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, the question is what has been the
origin history of Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte. Centgraf wrote that in 1939,
he began to study the Centuries. In Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, he gave to understand that in
1939, he had discoverd that the word Hadrie was an encrypted
allusion to Hitler. In Nostradamus und Berlin -
und andere Weissagungen, Centgraf wrote about this discovery without
dating it. I don't know if prior to the German invasion in Poland in
September 1939, Centgraf wrote books or articles about Nostradamus and
the Centuries. Between June and December 1941, he either wrote or
completed the German source text of Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn... In July 1944, he wrote the brochure Nostradamus
and England, an anti-British brochure to which Goebbels seems to
have referred in his diary, which finally was not spread. I therefore
presume that the German source text of Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn... has been Centgraf's first publication about
Nostradamus and the Centuries and that his research was a
politically one, i.e. national-socialistic, propagandistic.
In his letter to Hesse of May 22, 1950, Centgraf presented himself as a
historian and author who most notably studied the sixteenth century,
beginning in 1940 with Luther and in "the past years" with
Nostradamus.[3]
As far as I am concerned, the words "the past years" indicate
that it was after World War II when Centgraf began with the writing of
the manuscript which in 1953 was published as Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte,
and in which he partly copied, partly changed what he had written about
Nostradamus and the Centuries in the German source text of Voorspellingen die
uitgekomen zijn... and gave a new fulfilment date to the perspective
that Germany as a "holy Empire" would replace England as the
world's leading power, i.e. 2040 instead of around 1940, as in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn...
Centgraf's remark in his letter to Hesse about the poverty of him and
his wife after the war and the hardships they went through, as well as
his remarks about being arrested, raise the idea that after the war,
Centgraf was unemployed for some time and - as would turn out later,
quite successfully - tried to earn his daily living by writing books and
articles about Nostradamus and the Centuries and by giving
lectures. In connection with this, it must be noted that in 1945/'46 and
1951/'52 his requests to resume his work as a preacher were rejected. In
1935, due to the rais of extra-marital children, he was no longer
allowed to work as a preacher.
The success
of Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte; the rise of Centgraf
as a Century-scholar
In the Nachtrag
to the fourth edition (1960) of Nostradamus - Der Prophet der
Weltgeschichte, Centgraf wrote that from the appearance in
1953, Nostradamus - Der
Prophet der Weltgeschichte had a worldwide acclaim. From numerous
countries, people sent him reactions and comments. For important and
esteemed contemporaries, Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte was
reason to devote their life to the study of Nostradamus and the Centuries
instead of studying it for pleasure.
In the course of the years, a number of prominent persons wrote
contributions to Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte.
Among them were prof. dr. Hans-Hermann Kritzinger, qualified by Centgraf
as the "Nestor" of Nostradamus research, and count Carl Ludwig
Friedrich Otto von Klinckowstroem, the author of Die
ältesten Ausgaben der “Propheties” des Nostradamus, ein Beitrag zur
Nostradamus Bibliographie (Zeitschrift für Bücherfreunde,
Leipzig, 1913), one of the first German Nostradamus-bibliographies. Von
Klinckowstroem's contribution to Nostradamus - Der Prophet der
Weltgeschichte was a bibliography of early Century-editions.
Another prominent was Willy Bischoff, one of the founders in 1947 of the
Deutsche Astrologen-Verband e.V. For the fourth edition of Nostradamus
- Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte, he wrote an analysis of the birth chart of Nostradamus.
The issues 41, 45 and 46 of volume 84 (1959) of the weekly Sonntagspost
(Winona, Minnesota, USA) contained articles on Nostradamus, written by
the German Century-scholar Alexis von Sabler. According to Von
Sabler, a Century-scholar had to be a historian as well as a
philologist and had to have a thorough knowledge of things. In his eyes,
Centgraf had all of these qualities.
A
questionable Century-scholar
On this website, it is assumed that after the German invasion in Poland in September 1939, Centgraf started
to study Nostradamus and the Centuries, i.e.Loog's Die
Weissagungen des Nostradamus and probably most notably his comment
upon quatrain 03-57, which at that time was quite sensational because of
being linked to the German invasion in Poland. The critical remarks of
the German philosopher dr. Max Dessoir in Vom Jenseits der Seele
about Nostradamus, the Centuries and the Century-comments
made him, as he wrote, to compare the predictions in the Centuries
with the course of history.
By the end of 1939, according to his information, Centgraf warned
compatriots against the risks of a lightning war against France. Perhaps
his study was focused upon fathoming the military and political
situation in Europe. In the summer of 1940, he was upset when he noticed
that national-socialists used his link of a couple of quatrains to such
a kind of war for propaganda purposes. In the summer of 1944, he wrote,
he tried to achieve peace in Europe by telling Hadamovsky, a prominent
national-socialist, that one of the quatrains in the Centuries
fitted to such an event. He also would have tried to improve the
circumstances of some of his friends who were interned in a
concentration camp. Centgraf's information on these points contains
incorrect facts and does not show that in World War II, Centgraf, who in
1933 became member of the SA, in 1937 member of the NSDAP,
was an esteemed national-socialist activist who wrote anti-Semitic
brochures and used the Centuries and Century-comments for
propagandistic purposes by writing the German source text of Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn... and the brochure Nostradamus and England,
with which in the summer of 1944 the British had to become demoralized.
According to the future scenario in Voorspellingen die uitgekomen
zijn..., England would fall, Germany, lead by Hitler, would become
the leading power in Europe (the Holy Empire) and the world would be in
peace for 57 years. In Centgraf's post-war publications about
Nostradamus and the Centuries, Henry the Fortunate, president of
the United States of Europe, would give the world a peace period for 57
years in 2040, Germany will play a leading part (the Holy Empire) and
England would become a part of the United States of America, and as such
lose her leading position in the world. This raises the question if
Centgraf in 1940/'41 wrote a number of texts and a future scenario,
which in 1941 he changed for propaganda reasons and after war brought
back in its original state, or if the German source text of Voorspellingen
die uitgekomen zijn... was his first text about Nostradamus and the Centuries,
which he changed after the war. For the moment, I cannot answer this
question, which is an important one since it is hard to imagine that
someone who wants to hide his propagandistic activities in 1941/'44,
dates the beginning of his study in 1939. It is a matter of fact,
however, that in his post-war publications about Nostradamus and the Centuries,
beginning with the article Nostradamus und Berlin - und andere
Weissagungen, Centgraf included texts which can be traced back to
the German source text of Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn...
Neither in his post-war publications, nor in public, he dissociated
himself or apologized for what he had written in the German source text
of Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn...: comments which had to
frighten people and to demoralize them, which were aimed against Jews
and communists and which demonstrated that for decades,
national-socialism would be the leading power in Europe. On the
contrary, he presented himself as a Century-scholar who comforts
his readers. In Nostradamus - Prophetische Weltgeschichte,
his second book about Nostradamus and the Centuries, which he
finished two years before his death and which until today is reprinted,
he added, compared with his first book about Nostradamus and the Centuries
(Nostradamus - Der Prophet der Weltgeschichte) new elements
which can be traced back to Voorspellingen die uitgekomen zijn...
For many years, my colleague Ulrich Maichle occupies himself with
research on the activities of Centgraf / Centurio. His website Die
Nostradamus-Propaganda der Nazis 1939 - 1942 contains
numerous transcripts of documents which shows Centgraf's involvement in
national-socialism. Maichle had a discussion with Random House
publishers in Munich in order to stop further selling of Die grossen
Weissagungen des Nostradamus, a license edition of Nostradamus -
Prophetische Weltgeschichte. I invite you to deepen yourself in the
oeuvre of Centgraf / Centurio, the articles about his books on www.nostradamusresearch.org
and Maichle's findings. If you think that the oeuvre of Centgraf /
Centurio is politically contaminated and that his book Die grossen
Weissagungen des Nostradamus has to be taken from the market, you
can address yourself to Random House
or to Turm publishers, the
company which up until today publishes Nostradamus - Prophetische
Weltgeschichte.
