THE PROPHECIES OF NOSTRADAMUS
and their present-day significance

Theo van Berkel

The opinions about the Prophecies of Nostradamus vary from incredibly striking, predicting the future of the world in detail, to utterly vague, which results in countless explanations.
In this lecture, you will get acquainted with the life and work of Nostradamus and the background, time span, construction and the reach of the Prophecies. The credibility of the Prophecies is clarified.
The impact of the Prophecies can be seen in for example World War II, in which some people, basing themselves upon the Prophecies, tried to estimate which country would win, whereas other people used the Prophecies to demoralize the enemy, with an unpalatable aftermath in our days.

Since 1980, Theo van Berkel studies the Prophecies of Nostradamus. He is the author of Nostradamus, astrologie en de Bijbel (De Meern, NL, 2002) and the author and webmaster of www.nostradamusresearch.org, a bilingual website (Dutch - English) on which he frequently publishes new articles about his research on the Prophecies.
